
Becky Zill
Becky Zill, a 2009 Iroquois graduate, helped guide the Alfred University softball team to its first-ever Empire 8 championship this year.
Zill, who has been a softball graduate assistant at Alfred for the past two years, will be on hand when Alfred (40-5) faces Linfield (37-13) in the NCAA Division III Elite Eight on Thursday in Salem, Va.
Zill played Division 1 softball at Niagara University, graduating in 2013.
Zill ranks in the top three in career home runs (26), total bases (274) extra-base hits and RBIs (116) in Niagara’s softball program history. As a senior in 2013, Zill was named first-team MAAC all-star, while leading her team back to the conference playoffs with a .344 batting average.
Zill is currently pursuing a master’s degree in school psychology after earning a bachelor’s in psychology from Niagara.
