McDowell graduate Kelli Rohan closed with regular season on a flourish with the St. Bonaventure softball team.
Rohan hit safely in Bonnies’ final five games of the regular season, going 11-for-19 (.579) while helping St. Bonaventure (15-22 overall, 7-11 Atlantic 10) to three wins. She also scored five runs and stole seven bases during the streak.
The senior outfielder concluded the regular season with a .386 batting average, 21 runs scored and 28 stolen bases.
She ranks second in St. Bonaventure history with 61 career stolen bases.
The Bonnies’ postseason hopes were in limbo today because their three-game weekend series against St. Joseph’s was canceled. St. Joseph’s was involved in a hazing investigation.
Rohan is a senior who is scheduled to graduate this month. However, she sat out her sophomore season with an injury and is likely to play a fifth season in 2016 while attending graduate school.
