McDowell graduates Ashley Samluk and Brenna Cosgrove had standout softball seasons in the PSAC.
Both made the all-conference first team this week.
Samluk, a sophomore at Slippery Rock, was named the PSAC West Division’s top third baseman. Cosgrove, a senior at Edinboro, was one of three first-team outfielders.
Samluk had 21 RBIs and led the Rock with a .355 batting average.
Cosgrove, a center fielder, ranked fourth in the PSAC with a .407 batting average and set the Edinboro record for stolen bases in a single season with 24, a mark tied for second in the conference.

• Six Penn State Behrend softball players were named to the all-AMCC team last week. Seniors Kelsey Fuller and Sydney Sherrieb, sophomore Kelly Hedderick and freshman Amanda Krolczyk were named to the first team. Freshmen Maddie Mulig and Rachel Miller earned spots on the third team.
• Edinboro fifth-year senior Johnny Greisheimer and sophomore Vince Pickett were named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association Division I All-Academic Team.
